Hannity Handlers Panic over Clinton Decline
NEW YORK (Disassociated Press) January 3, 2008 – Disassociated Press associates have learned that insiders within the Sean Hannity Radio Show are gravely concerned with regard to the lack of early success of Democratic Presidential Candidate Senator Hillary Clinton of New York.
“We’ve put a lot of effort into instilling the fear of God into Sean’s ardent listeners about a possible Hillary Presidency that a potential early departure for her from the candidacy ranks puts us at great peril to come up with new programming material, and we face the likelihood of a significant drop off in listenership,” a Hannity source insider disclosed.
Since the day that Senator Clinton announced her presidential candidacy, the show has nicknamed itself ‘The Stop Hillary Express.’
“Of course, we’ve always been committed to stopping Hillary – but not so soon. Naturally, we’ve been expecting to ride the ‘Stop Hillary’ train all the way to the end of the track.”
Senator Clinton, who according to many of the so called experts has been the presumptive nominee for the Democrats in the 2008 election, suffered a huge loss in the Iowa Caucus today, coming in 3rd behind both Illinois Senator Barack Obama and former North Carolina Senator and 2004 Democratic Vice-Presidential Candidate John Edwards.
“We’re just worried that, should Hillary stunningly be knocked out of the Democratic race early, a lot of Sean’s loyal listeners, no longer concerned about the specter of Hillary, will go back to focusing on American Idol, auto racing, and Carrie Underwood,” the source concluded.
