Ken Linked to Britney, J-Lo After Barbie Break-Up
MALIBU – (Disassociated Press) – February 15, 2004 – Even in the shadow of the Barbie dream mansion, it’s Ken who’s grabbing the attention of the paparazzi and the gossip rag headlines in the immediate days after the Barbie/Ken break-up that shocked the world.
“People thought that being dumped by Barbie would shatter Ken,” a source close to the couple stated. “Actually, Ken appears to be landing on his feet quite well.” Ken has been seen sporting around Malibu with the likes of Jennifer Lopez, fresh off of her own widely publicized break-up with Ben Affleck, and escorting Britney Spears in Las Vegas – there is even talk that Ken and Britney were secretly married there.
The Barbie/Ken break-up isn’t the first time that news of troubles for the two have made it into the press; in the early 70s, rumors abounded that Barbie was having a secret tryst with G.I. Joe.
“Everybody thought this would be a tough adjustment period for Ken; but instead, it’s really been quite liberating for him,” the source went on to say. “In the end, I think that Ken has come to the realization that despite all her ‘Barbie doll’ glamour and good looks, Barbie is actually quite small, and plastic.”
