McCain's Weakness for 'Hot Babes' Continues to Haunt, Analyst States
MINNEAPOLIS, MN (Disassociated Press) Septemeber 2, 2008 - On the eve of address to the Republican National Convention by presumptive Republican Presidential Nominee John McCain's Vice-Presidential choice, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, one political analyst claims that the selection of Palin typifies a trait of the long time Arizona Senator's that has plagued him in his quest for the White House.
"The guy just has a weakness for hot chicks," says University of Duluth Professor of Political Science Bartholomew J. Sneed. "It's gotten him into trouble all throughout his campaigns to be president."
Sneed went on to report that, in his quest for the 2000 Republican Presidential Nomination, which he would ultimately lose to George W. Bush of Texas, stories of McCain's attractive wife Cindy's addiction to prescription pain medication were used against McCain in the campaign. In February of this year, the New York Times published a much discussed article about how McCain campaign aides warned the candidate that his close relationship with attractive lobbyist Vicki Iseman could potentially create an appearance of impropriety.
"Now he goes and picks this un-established, unknown beauty pageant winner from the bleak barren plains, and as it turns out, she might come with a huge amount of personal baggage that could drag the campaign down," Sneed went on to say. When queried as to what might have finally prompted McCain to this choice, Sneed responded, "maybe he was influenced by that Paris Hilton internet spoof."
