Pickens Endorses Hilton
DALLAS, TX (Disassociated Press) August 5, 2008 – Paris Hilton, recently used in a presumptive Republican nominee John McCain presidential campaign ad designed to denigrate Democratic presumptive nominee Barack Obama, and who countered with a spoof in which she referred to McCain as an ‘old white haired dude’ and lampooningly stated that she supposed McCain’s reference to her was an endorsement for herself for the presidency, has surprisingly caught the attention and garnered the endorsement of another ‘old white haired dude.’
Multi-billionaire oilman Boone Pickens, who has recently launched a campaign of his own, in which he states he has a plan to solve the nation’s energy crisis, had this to say about Hilton’s internet counter to McCain: “Amongst the three of them, Paris Hilton actually embraces the objective, strategic and non-partisan solution that I lay out in my campaign to wean the United States away from oil dependency better than either McCain or Obama. For that reason, I have to throw my support behind Paris, and I will endorse her for President of the Unites States in 2008.
When reminded by Disassociated Press associates that Hilton would be constitutionally ineligible to hold the Office of the Presidency because of her youth until 2016, Pickens responded “at a time of national crisis like this, it would be a good idea for Americans to not let a little thing like the Constitution stand in the way of saving our nation – and, besides, like she says in her internet response to McCain – she’s hot.”
