Trump ‘Neat Freak’ Theory Nearly Corroborated
NEW YORK (Disassociated Press) January 23, 2008 – For years, fans and critics of Donald Trump have claimed that ‘The Donald’ is a ‘neat freak,’ but Trump’s appearance on CNN’s Larry King Live last night presented what was, to many, the most significant corroboration of this theory so far.
When questioned by King in a round table discussion as to what Trump would do with his personal $800 rebate, which would be part of the economic stimulus package just introduced by the Bush Administration, Trump responded “I think I’ll buy a bar of soap.”
“That is one expensive bar of soap,” stated Trump acquaintance Bob Salmons. “I know and like ‘The Donald,’ but he’s always seemed to me to be kind of a neat freak, and spending $800 on a bar of soap kind of proves that.”
“That’s a heck of a lot of money to spend on a bar of soap,” agreed Ted Minton, a mutual friend of Salmons and Trump. “Anybody who spends that much money on soap has got to be at least a little bit anal retentive.”
Psychiatrist Drew Pinsky, whose clinical specialty is television and radio appearances and who happened to be on hand for Larry King Live to capitalize on the untimely death of actor Heath Ledger, also chimed in: “Behaviors like spending $800 on a bar of soap indicates the type of abnormal pathology we look for in a situation that has the potential to yield high television ratings. I’ll be monitoring this situation closely."
